We have all our vehicles serviced at Valvoline and 99% of the time are highly satisfied. This time I was a little disappointed. Normally, they at least ask, or just do it automatically, if I want my turn signals, brakes, and headlights checked. This crew did not offer that. Normally the person assisting me shows me recent service work that has been done and explains upcoming services that need to be done on my vehicle and asks me if I want it done then. This time there was no mention of that. The experience was not a bad one, and I love you guys and admire the training that your staff gets. I do know that the location in Richland, Washington is extremely thorough and automatically offers the turn signal, etc. check and always explains what service they performed in the past, and what I might want to think about as far as service performed in the future. So I’m not throwing these guys under the bus, but they didn’t quite meet the high standards that I almost always seem to get from you guys. Regardless, I’ll always send people to you and always come back. Thanks for your time.

I was encouraged to buy additional services. I was told by the technician that the service intervals were 30k miles, but my owners manual stated intervals of 150k miles. I purchased one of the recommendations but passed on the other two. The tech was surprised what I told him about the intervals. Also, five minute services at $100 each feels high. It would help to get an explanation how the costs break down between material and labor.

Traveling through town my car oil light came on I stopped in at valvoline since I knew getting my car in at my dealership was impossible on late notice. Read great reviews and decided thats where I wanted to take my car.It being next to my favorite car wash was also a factor. The men were courteous, helpful and not pushy with extras and also gave me a coupon for the carwash next door.
